Xiaomi has launched its new smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 in India. The phone comes with a completely revamped design and starts at Rs. 9999.

Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 LTPS in-cell display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The display has a notch that the company calls dot notch. It also has a glass back with gradient finish and comes in Onyx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue colors. The back also has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone also has P2i nano-coating for making it splashproof.

It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage options. Storage is also expandable up to 256GB. The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0.

The phone has a dual camera that includes 12 megapixels primary camera with Sony IMX486 sensor, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture along with 2 megapixels secondary camera. It also has 13 megapixels front camera. The camera also comes with AI features such as steady handheld night photography that will be pushed via OTA update.

It has a fingerprint sensor located on the back panel. There is also an IR sensor that lets this phone act as a universal remote control.

It offers Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 /5GHz) Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It also packs 4000 mAh battery with support to Quick Charge 4. But you will have to buy the 18W adapter separately. The company will offer a 10W charger within the box.

The phone will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores starting from March 6.
