We already know that Xiaomi will announce MI 9 on February 20 at MWC 2019. Xiaomi has already teased its design and key specifications of the phone. Now Xiaomi’s Founder Lei Jun just confirmed that the highest-end model of the upcoming Mi 9 will come with 12 GB RAM.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition will have the transparent back similar to Mi 8 Explorer edition. The Transparent Edition will also show an inert PCB. The back glass is only 0.4 mm thick that is the thickness of 4 sheets of A4 paper.
Lei Jun also confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition will feature 48MP primary rear camera lens with 7P lens and f/1.47 aperture. The regular Mi 9 will feature 48MP 6P lens with f/1.75 aperture.
Besides the more RAM, unique back panel and slightly better camera, Mi 9 Transparent Edition will be same as regular Mi 9.
The phone will come with AMOLED panel having FHD+ resolution and 600-nit brightness. There will also be a Sunlight mode 2.0 to offer improved contrast and optimized color display. The device will have a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. It will feature an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. It has already confirmed that the phone will pack Snapdragon 855.
Lenovo Z5 Pro GT was the first phone to feature 12 GB Of RAM and higher-end model of Galaxy S10+ will also offer the same. So, the year 2019 will see many smartphones with 12 GB of RAM.
