Indian smartphone brand, CENTRiC has confirmed that they will launch a pop-up selfie camera phone at MWC on 25th February. So, they will be the first Indian brand to come with a pop-up camera option.

The company claims that the upcoming phone with pop-up selfie camera will provide an almost bezel-less display offering 92% screen to body ratio. The phone will also feature in-display fingerprint sensor wireless charging and latest Android Pie 9.0.

CENTRiC has also confirmed to launch 4 other smartphones CENTRiC G5, G3, A2 and L4 at the same event across different price categories.

Pop-up selfie camera was first launched by Vivo in its Vivo NEX. Recently, it also launched the Vivo V15 Pro. Oppo will also launch its Oppo F11 Pro with pop-up selfie camera on March 5.

CENTRiC can be a new name for many, but we have covered it in past. We also revived two budget phones CENTRiC A1 and CENTRiC L3. The experience with the device was good. But the company couldn’t get much attention due to the low marketing budget. Recently, I saw a video ad of CENTRiC on Facebook. It means the company is now ready to market it and get recognition.

Indian smartphone market is big but also really competitive. Consumers want good quality in lowest possible price. So, it will be really interesting to see how CENTRiC manages to get a market share.
