Sony α6400 comes with a new-generation BIONZ X image processing engine that produces excellent image quality. It is equipped with a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sized image sensor. It supports standard ISO ranges up to ISO 32000 for video, and is expandable up to ISO 102400 for photos.
It features 425 phase-detection AF points and 425 contrast-detection AF points covering approximately 84 percent of the image area. Real-time Eye AF is the latest tech that uses artificial intelligence based object recognition to detect and process eye data in real time.
The camera can shoot up to 11 fps with full AF/AE tracking while utilizing the mechanical shutter, and up to 8 fps with full AF/AE tracking while silent shooting. It is capable of recording 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) videos with full pixel readout and no pixel binning. It can also record Full HD at 120 fps.
It has a full 180-degree tiltable 3-inch LCD touch display with 921k-dots of resolution. The camera also features a high-quality XGA OLED Tru-finder viewfinder. You also get extensive customization with 89 functions that are assignable to eight custom keys, the new My Dial and My Menu functionality.
It also includes HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) picture profile that supports an Instant HDR workflow.
It is priced at $1,000 with 16-50mm F3.5 – 5.6 lens and $1,300 with 18-135mm F3.5 – 5.6 lens.
