Meizu Zero is the smartphone with no physical button, speaker or port
Meizu just announced an innovative smartphone Meizu Zero that has a unique 3D design with no button, speaker holes or port.
There is no headphone jack, micro USB or USB Type-C port. For charging, it supports custom designed 18W wireless fast charging. For music, you will have to rely on the wireless audio listing. For earpiece, it has mSound 2.0 screen sound technology that uses phone’s screen as a speaker and the earpiece.
As I said, there is no port. So, it also gets rid of the SIM slot as well. The phone uses eSIM.
The phone has an IP68 rated waterproof body. It has pressure-sensitive power and volume buttons on the sides. It is the same as in HTC Edge Sense squeeze interaction.
Meizu Zero features a 5.99-inch ( 1080 × 2160 pixels) Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. It runs on Flyme 7 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone packs Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. RAM and storage information has yet to be confirmed.
It has dual camera on the back that includes 12MP primary camera with wide-angle lens, Sony IMX380 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis OIS, PDAF, Laser auto-focus and 20 megapixels secondary camera with telephoto lens, Sony IMX350 sensor, f/2.6 aperture. Rear camera setup also gets 6-LED ring LED flash. It also has 20 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture, AI face unlock.
The phone also features an under-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 2 x 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5 and GPS + GLONASS. The company has also not confirmed the battery capacity but told about the wireless fast charging.
