Acer has launched the new version of Acer Swift 7 laptop at CES 2019. Acer claims 92 percent screen-to-body ratio for this laptop. The laptop is 9.95mm and weighs 890 grams. Here, it is worth to note that last year’s Acer Swift 7 was 8.98mm thick.

The laptop has 14-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. Acer claims that the display on the laptop can cover 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut and reach 300 nits of brightness.

The laptop is made of magnesium alloy to keep weight down without compromising the build quality. Acer claims that this material makes the laptop several times stronger but keeps it up to 35 percent lighter than aluminum alloys.

The laptop packs 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8500Y Amber Lake processor, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 512GB of SSD storage. The base variant has 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage for $1,699.

It has dual Thunderbolt 3 inputs and headphone/mic jack. It has a pop-up camera built-in to the keyboard. Power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor for secure authentication. Acer also claims that the battery of the laptop will last for up to 10 hours on a single charge.

It will be available in US starting May and will be made available in China, Europe, Middle East, and Africa in April 2019. We have no information about its India launch.
