The gaming-oriented smartphone, Xiaomi Mi Play by Xiaomi has been officially launched today in China. This is the first model in the Xiaomi’s Play series. With this smartphone, the company is especially focusing on Youth.

First-time, Xiaomi launched a smartphone with waterdrop notch. The Mi Play also sports a gradient finish at the back and glass-like finish on top. It has 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display along with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

The Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC processor and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10. It sports IMG GE8320 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The smartphone has a 5.84-inch display with narrower bezels and measures 147.76×71.89×7.8mm.

The Mi Play has dual rear camera setup which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with a f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an LED flash. It sports an 8-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies.

The smartphone has only one variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

The handset packs a 3,000mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, this dual-SIM gaming smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. It has an accelerometer, geomagnetic, ambient light, and a gyroscope sensor. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear.

The phone is priced at 1099 Yuan in China for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Its availability in India is still unknown. We will update soon when it will launch in India. Till then, keep reading Techlomedia and stay updated.
