As expected, Vivo has announced its latest Vivo NEX smartphone. The company calls it Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition. As the name says, the phone has two active display panels.
Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition has one primary display on that gives almost bezel-less design. It has a Super AMOLED panel with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and measure 6.39-inch diagonally. As per claims, the phone has 91.63% screen to body ratio. It has 5.49-inch Super AMOLED panel on the back that uses 1080 x 1920 resolution with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio.
The phone packs octa-core Snapdragon 845 with 10GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

It ships with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Funtouch OS 4.5 on top. The phone has several AI features, specially on its camera app.
The third ToF camera is basically for advanced face unlock. So, you will have to look at the backpanel for using the Face Unlock option, The phone has a under-display fingerprint sensor. Vivo claims that this tech is 17% faster in unlocking compared to predecessor.
The phone has AK-4377A amplifier and deep space sound. The phone still has headphone jack.
Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition offers Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C connectivity options.
This time the company has cut the battery size and now the phone packs 3500 mach battery with support to 22.5W fast charging.
Now the Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition is already up for pre-order in China and will be available starting December 29. It costs CNY 4,998 in China.
