Today, Xiaomi launched its new mid-range phone Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro in India. The phone is the successor of previous successful phone Redmi Note 5 Pro. The phone starts at Rs. 13999 and will be available exclusively from Flipkart. It will be available from Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display also has a wide notch at the top and Gorilla Glass protection. The phone packs 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm processor with Adreno 509 GPU.
It runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). The phone comes in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM options along with 64GB of storage in both models.
The phone has a dual camera on the back with 12 megapixels primary f/1.9 sensor and 5 megapixels secondary depth sensor along with Dual PD focus, EIS, and dual-tone LED Flash. You also get adjustable bokeh, so that you can change the amount of background any time later. Other features include AI scene detection, studio lighting, and light trails. It also has a dual camera set up at the front with 20 megapixels primary and 2 megapixels secondary depth sensor. Front camera features AI portrait selfie, AI beautify and AI scene detection.
The phone has both a Fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. It is a dual SIM phone. It comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 and GPS + GLONASS connectivity options. The phone also supports Wi-Fi passthrough where the hotspot can transmit data from WiFI source. This is helpful when you can only connect one device to WiFi. You can use this feature to pass data connectivity to other devices using the hotspot on your phone.
It packs 4000 mAh battery. The company claims to offer up to 2 days of standby time, It also supports Quick Charge 3.0.
