Samsung has just launched its new Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) in India for Rs. 36990. The phone was initially announced last month.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo). The phone is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 14nm processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in 6GB RAM and 8 GB RAM options. The phone has 128GB storage with an option to expand storage up to 512GB. The phone has a dedicated microSD card slot.
The phone has quad camera setup on the back. It has 24 megapixels primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, 10 megapixels wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture, 8 megapixels 120° Ultra Wide camera with f/2.4 aperture and 5 megapixels depth camera with f/2.2. The phone also has 24 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

It is a dual SIM phone. Connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80, Bluetooth v5 and GPS + GLONASS connectivity options. It packs 3800mAh battery with adaptive fast charging.
The 6GB RAM model costs Rs. 36990 and 8 GB RAM model costs Rs. 39990. It will be available for pre-booking from online retailers Flipkart, Amazon.in, Samsung Online Shop and Airtel Online Store starting today. It will go on sale starting from November 28th.
At Rs. 36990, this phone looks to be overpriced due to the weak selection of chipset. When people already have the option to buy OnePlus 6T, why will they go for this one? Just having quad camera setup is not the thing to spend a huge amount on the phone.
