HMD Global just announced its latest mid-range phone Nokia 7.1 at an event in London. The phone is the successor of Nokia 7 launch last year.

Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ HDR 10 display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It uses the aforementioned chip made by PixelWorks that can convert all content to the standard HDR format – HDR10. The display also features Gorilla Glass 3 protection to protect it from scratches. The phone runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) that is also upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie). The phone is the part of Android One program as well.

Nokia 7.1 is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm processor with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes in 3GB RAM with 32 GB storage or 4GB RAM with 64GB storage options. Storage is also expandable up to 400 GB with microSD.

The phone has a Hybrid Dual SIM. So, you can either use two SIM cards or one SIM and one microSD card.

Nokia 7.1 features a dual camera setup with 12 megapixels primary RGB sensor with f/1.8 aperture, ZEISS Optics, and 5 megapixels Monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The phone also has 8 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

It features Nokia OZO audio.

The phone comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, Type-C 2.0 and NFC connectivity options. It packs 3060 mAh battery with support to 18W fast charging.

The phone has 6000 series aluminum frame and uses dual-anodized diamond cut colored edge. Dimensions measure 149.7 x 71.18 x 7.99mm and it weighs 160g. It comes in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colors.

Price of the phone starts at 299 Euros and It will be up for pre-order in Europe starting from tomorrow, October 5th.

The company also announced the launch of two new audio accessories with the Nokia 7.1 – the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones. Nokia True Wireless Earbuds offers up to 3.5 hours play time and comes with a charging case that can charge it up to three times. Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones is a neckband style earphone with up to 10 hours of playback time.
