Microsoft has officially announced Surface Pro 6. The device looks exactly like its predecessor but claims to be 67% faster and offer better battery life.

The laptop weighs 1.7 pounds and the company has also introduced a new color option that features matte black chassis and matching black fabric Type Cover. It is also available in silver. Type Covers come in blue, red and grey colors.

It has 12.3-inch touch display with 2736 x 1824 pixels resolution. The display has 267 dpi pixel density and said to have the highest contrast ratio of any Surface device.

The new Surface Pro 6 now comes with Intel’s 8th Generation quad-core i5/i7 processors. Microsoft has also redesigned the thermal system to keep it cool. It will be available in 8GB or 16GB RAM options. There will be 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.

While most of us were hoping to get USB Type-C, Microsoft is still using USB 3.0 port and a mini DisplayPort It also has MicroSDXC card reader, Surface Type Cover port, Surface Connect port and 3.5 mm headphone jack. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1.

It also features a 5 megapixels front camera and 8 megapixels rear camera. For capturing good audio, it has dual microphones set up. The 2-in-1 laptop also packs 1.6W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.

For offering Enterprise-grade security, it comes with TPM 2.0 chip and Windows Hello face sign-in.

The company claims 13.5 hours of battery life. So, it is more battery efficient than the 2017 Surface Pro.
