Along with Surface Pro 6, Microsoft also announced Surface Laptop 2. Nothing much has been changed in design, but with improved specs.

Surface Laptop 2 features a 13.5-inch PixelSense Display with 2256 x 1504 resolution. The display has Gorilla Glass 3 and supports Surface Pen.

It packs Intel’s 8th Generation Core i5 or Core i7 processors with 8GB or 16GB RAM options. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSD. The new laptop is 85 percent faster than its predecessor

It has a Full-Size USB 3.0, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Mini DisplayPort, Surface Connect port and is Compatible with Surface Dial off-screen interaction. It also has WiFI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and. Bluetooth 4.1

It runs on Windows 10 Home. It also has TPM 2.0 chip for enterprise security.

Microsoft claims that the Surface Laptop 2 can offer up to 14.5 hours of local video playback. So, the battery life is also better than its predecessor.

It starts at $999. Pre-order for the device opens today and shipping will start on October 16.
