Xiaomi has also launched Xiaomi Redmi 6 in India along with budget phone Redmi 6A. The Redmi 6 is the successor of Redmi 5 and will be available starting at Rs. 7999.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 features a 5.45-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 and is upgradable to MIUI 10.

The phone packs 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It also has 3GB RAM. The phone comes in 32GB and 64GB storage options with expandable storage of up to 256GB. The phone has dedicated microSD card slot for that.

The phone has dual camera setup that includes 12 megapixels primary sensor with 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 5 megapixels secondary sensor. It also has EIS for video stabilization and LED flash for rear camera setup.

The phone features a fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. It also supports face unlock. It supports Dual 4G VoLTE and offers WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS connectivity options. It packs 3000 mAh battery.

The phone comes in Grey, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold colors. Dimensions measure 147.5×71.5×8.3mm and it weighs 146grams.

The phone will be available exclusively from Flipkart as well as Mi.com starting from September 10th. HDFC Debit, Credit and EMIs will get Rs. 500 off for the first sale.

Like the company said in Redmi 6A, pricing of this phone can also go up if INR performs poor against dollar in coming months.
