Vivo X23 with 6.41-inch Halo FullView display, IR Face Unlock, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Vivo has just announced its flagship phone Vivo X23 at an event in China. The phone has similar design that we saw in Vivo V11 Pro launched in India earlier today.

Vivo X23 features 6.41-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a small notch at the top. The company calls it Halo FullView display as it has just 1.76 mm slim bezels on the sides and 91.27% screen-to-body ratio. The display also has 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The tiny notch houses selfie camera and IR scanner.

The phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 processor with Adreno 615GPU. Vivo also talks about Dual Turbo Acceleration Engine for improved performance. It also has 8 GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The phone features a dual camera setup that includes 12 megapixels primary Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 13 megapixels secondary sensor with 125° wide-angle lens. The phone also features 12 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Like other Vivo phones, it also boasts AI Beauty, AI Portrait, etc.

Like its predecessor, Vivo X23 has in-display fingerprint sensor but it has been improved. It also has IR face unlock that unlocks the phone even in low-light.

Dimensions of the phone are 157.68 × 74.06 × 7.47mm and it Weighs 160.5g. It comes in Phantom Purple, Phantom Red and Midnight Blue colors. There are also two different color variants with Vivo Logo painted on the back. These come in Fashion Purple and Fashion Orange colors.

Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO , Bluetooth 5 LE and GPS + GLONASS. It packs 3,400mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging.

The phone is priced at 3498 yuan and will be available in China from September 14th.
