Today, OnePlus announced that they will introduce an updated USB-C version of the Bullets V2 with their next flagship. OnePlus calls it Type C Bullets. It is priced at Rs. 1499 and will be available across the country from online and offline channels.
OnePlus Type C Bullets include improved sound quality as it packs high-end, professional DAC by Ciruss Logic. So, it compatible with most of the USB-C devices including laptops and tablets. It claims higher dynamic range, higher signal-to-noise ratio and low noise floor. As compared to 3.5 mm jack, type C ensures minimal loss of quality for a superior audio outcome.
It comes with familiar metal design of the OnePlus Bullets V2. To make it more durable, the company has added an aramid fiber to the wire to make it more resistant to stretching.

OnePlus conducted a survey in early 2017 that confirmed 80% users use in-jack headphones but the number dropped to 59% in 2018. It shows that people are now switching to wireless headsets. OnePlus doesn’t want to disappoint users who still prefer wired earphones. So, it is shifting to Type C Bullets.
OnePlus has already confirmed that OnePlus 6T will come with under-display fingerprint sensor. Now this new addition suggests the possible removal of headphone jack from the phone. It am still saying possible removal, because there is no clear statement about this from the company. If this happens, it will be quite interesting because OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau assured the community on the company’s official forums that the 3.5mm headphone jack was an essential part of the phone.
