The new update bring a YouTube profile that informs how long you have watched YouTube videos today, yesterday and over the past 7 days. It will give you better understanding of how much a user spend on YouTube.

YouTube already has an option to setup a reminder to take break. It is helpful if you think you are wasting too much time on YouTube. Once you hit the limit, it will show a friendly reminder.

YouTube has also added an option to control the notification. If you have getting notifications from YouTube now and then, you can set everything to come in form of single notification at a specific time.

You can even disable the sounds and vibration of YouTube notifications for a specific time period of the day. For example, tell YouTube not to send you any notification between 10pm and 8am. This option can also found in Notifications settings.

All these options have been added to give you control over your YouTube addiction. You can properly use these option for being more productive and spend less time on YouTube.
