Xiaomi Mi A2 with 5.99-inch Display, Snapdragon 660 Launched for Rs. 16999
Xiaomi has just launched its new Android One smartphone Xiaomi Mi A2 in India. The phone is is priced at Rs. 16999.
Xiaomi Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) and will get Android 9 Pie upgrade by the end of the year. The stock Android come with Google Assistant, Google Lens and Google Photos integration.
It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It packs 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB eMM 5.1 storage. There will also be a 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (eMMC 5.1) storage but it will come later and pricing for that was also not confirmed by Xiaomi.
Xiaomi claims a lot about the camera of the Mi A2. The phone has dual rear camera setup. The primary camera is of 12 megapixels with LED flash, f/1.75 aperture, Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size and EIS. The secondary rear camera is 20 megapixels sensor with Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.75 aperture. It also has 20 megapixels front camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and soft LED flash.
The phone features both Infrared sensor and fingerprint sensor. Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C.
It packs 3300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support. The phone comes with 10W charger, so you will have to buy a fast charger separately from Mi.com.
Dimensions measure 158.7×75.4×7.3mm and it weighs 168g. It comes in Lake Blue, Gold, Rose Gold and Black colors.
It will be available for pre-order from tomorrow, August 9th on mi.com and Amazon.in. First sale will be on August 16th. It also comes with 2200 instant cashback (in the form of vouchers) and 4.5TB additional data for Jio users.
