Sony Xperia XZ3 with Big OLED HDR display and Snapdragon 845 Announced
Sony has just announced its latest flagship smartphone Xperia XZ3 at IFA.
Sony Xperia XZ3 features a large 6-inch OLED HDR TRILUMINOS display with QHD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) resolution. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It packs Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU. It also has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and option to expand storage up to 400GB.
The phone comes with new curved panel and uses Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides and an aluminum frame to pack both panel. Dimensions measure 158 x 73 x 9.9mm and weighs 193g. The phone is Water and dust resistant with IP65/IP68 certification. It comes in Black, Silver White, Forest Green and Bordeaux Red color options.
It features 19 megapixels rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Predictive capture, 5-axis stabilization and 1/2.3″ sensor. It can also record 4K video and 960fps slow-motion video. At front, the phone has 13 megapixels camera with Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle and f/2.0 aperture.
It has Dynamic Vibration System that analyses audio data and lets you feel the action with your hand. The new Side sensor feature uses AI to ofer easy and convenient access to your favourite apps. You can double-tap on either side of XZ3 and it cleverly predicts the apps you want to use.
The phone supports USB Type-C audio and sports Stereo speaker with S-Force Front Surround, DSEE HX and LDAC. It also has fingerprint sensor located on the back.
It offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C connectivity option. It packs 3300mAh Battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi Wireless charging.
The phone is expected to hit shelves by the end of September at £699.
