Samsung has launched its first Android Oreo Go smartphone in India. This is an entry-level phone priced at Rs. 6190.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Core features a 5-inch (540 x 960 pixels) qHD TFT display. It packs 1.4GHz Quad-Core Exynos 7570 14nm processor with Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. It has 1 GB RAM and 8GB storage. Internal storage is also expandable up to 256GB.

It features a 8 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. It also has 5 megapixels front camera with f/2.2 aperture. Camera app also includes Beauty Mode for better portraits and selfies.

It runs on Android Oreo Go that is the light version of Android optimised to take less space and offer smoother performance on low-end hardware. The phone also has Samsung’s Smart Manager offering automatic RAM management to ensure there is sufficient free memory

The phone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE and GPS connectivity options. It packs 2600 mAh battery.

The phone comes in Gold, Blue and Black colors. Dimensions measure 143.4 x 72.1 x 8.9mm and it weighs 154g.

The phone will be available across all retail stores and Samsung eShop from today.
