Today, Xiaomi’s new sub-brand Poco has launched its first phone Poco F1 in India. The phone has been priced aggressively and will be available starting Rs. 20999.
Unlike other premium flagship phones, Poco F1 has polycorbonate build. It comes in Graphite Black, Steel Blue and Rosso Red colors as well as Armored Edition with Kevlar back.
Poco F1 comes with 6.18-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a notch and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It packs octa-core Snapdragon 845 Processor with Adreno 630. The phone will be available in three RAM/Storage models including 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage.
It runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 but has a custom POCO launcher. I will talk about the launcher and its feature in next article.
The phone has dual camera setup that includes 12 megapixels rear camera with dual LED Flash, f/1.9 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, Sony IMX363 sensor, Dual Pixel auto focus and 5 megapixels secondary camera with Samsung sensor. It also has 20 megapixels front-facing camera with ƒ/2.0 aperture.
The phone has IR Face Unlock that even works fast in low-light. It also has a fingerprint sensor located on the back. It also features dual speakers with Dirac Audio Sound.
It comes with Dual 4G+ VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C connectivity options. It packs 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. Poco will also be offering 18W charger within the box.
Along with the phone, Poco also announced cases and skins for the phone.
