Oppo has launched a new smartphone Oppo A5 with notch and full screen display. This phone was launched in China avast month. It features textured glass back and display notch. The phone is priced at Rs. 14990 and it is now available from offline stores across the country.
Oppo A5 features a 6.2-inch HD+ Display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a display notch. It runs on ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The phone is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The phone as 64GB of onboard storage with option to expand storage up to 256GB.
The phone has a dual camera that includes 13-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. It also has LED flash on the back. The front side features an 8 megapixels front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera also features Oppo’s Beauty Technology 2.0 that is capable of recognising 296 facial points.
It comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS and Micro-USB connectivity options. The phone also packs 4230 mAh battery that promises to offer up to 14 hours of video playback, and 11 hours of gaming playback.
Dimensions measure 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm and it weighs 168 grams. It comes in Blue and Rose Gold colour options.
At this price, this phone will be competing with phones like Honor 9N, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Moto G6, Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. But Asus and Xiaomi phones have tough availability and Honor is just available online. So primary competitors are Moto G6 and Nokia 6.1.
