HTC has announced its latest mid-range smartphone HTC U12 Life ahead of IFA. The phone comes with dual finish featuring soft, subtle stripes on an acrylic glass unibody. It can also withstand scratches.

HTC U12 Life features a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 IPS 2.5D glass display with a 18:9 aspect ratio and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with HTC Sense UI. At the time when all manufacturers are launching phones with notch, HTC has avoided it, but managed to shrunk the bezels at the bottom and top.

The phone is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm processor with Adreno 509 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB (UFS2.1) storage with an option to expand storage.

The phone features dual camera with 16 megapixels primary sensor and 5 megapixels secondary sensor. It also has 13 megapixels front camera. Both the front and rear cameras have f/2.0 aperture lenses. HTC has added a LED flash and HDR support to the front-facing camera as well.

It has fingerprint sensor located on the back. The phone also includes stereo speakers and a headphone jack. The phone supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. It packs 3600mAh battery.

The phone will be available Moonlight Blue and Twilight Purple colors. It seems the blue variant will the choice of most.

It is priced at £300 in UL and will be available in Europe, Asia and the Middle East in late September.
