Coolpad Mega 5A Launched in India For Rs. 6999

Coolpad has launched its budget phone Coolpad Mega 5A in India exclusively for offline market. It is the successor of Coolpad Mega 4A and comes with full metal build. Coolpad Mega 5A is priced at Rs. 6999. It  will be available in Andhra Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh starting August 16.

Coolpad Mega 5A features a 5.47-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS InCell display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. It has quad-core Spreadtrum SC9850K processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It packs 2GB RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.

It has 8 megapixels rear camera and VGA front camera. The camera also features time-lapse and slow-motion video recording.

It offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio and Micro-USB connectivity. It features a fingerprint sensor and also comes with Face unlock. It packs 2500 mAh battery.

Considering the price, the phone doesn’t look impressive. The company aims to sell this via offline market by offering good margin to dealers. Coolpad is already struggling. It will be interesting to see how it manages to fight back.
