Mi A2 with 5.99-inch Display, Snapdragon 660, Dual Camera Launched
Xiaomi has just launched its much-awaited smartphone Xiaomi Mi A2 at an event in Spain.
Mi A2 comes with an aluminum unibody design and will be available in three color options – Gold, Blue, and Black. Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch Full-Screen display with Full HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The Display also features Gorilla Glass Protection.
Mi A2 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Xiaomi has packed the phone with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. It will be available in 4GB RAM with 32 GB Storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage options. Xiaomi is also claiming an Antutu Benchmark score of 139,208.
Both Mi A2 is the part of Google’s Android One platform and will run on stock Android 8.1 Oreo. As the phones are part of Android One, it will receive regular security and OS upgrades. Mi A2 will also be one of the first to get Android P. Google Lens will be integrated with the camera app of Mi A2. It will also run the Google Assistant and brings unlimited storage on Google Photos.
The dual camera setup includes 20-megapixel primary Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 12-megapixel secondary Sony IMX486 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and telephoto lens. The dual camera has been optimized to offer good photos even in low light. It offers AI portrait shots with better edge detection and it web works fine in low-light. It also features a 20 megapixels Sony IMX376 sensor at front with f/2.2 aperture, AI portrait selfies, semantic segmentation, and HDR.
