Reliance Jio’s ambitious JioPhone saw huge demand in India but it also faced tough competition from entry-level smartphones that were bundled with data offer similar to what JioPhone had. Now the company has upgraded its JioPhone and launched JioPhone 2.
JioPhone 2 features a 2.4-inch QVGA display and runs on KaiOS. It has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. Storage is also expandable up to 128GB.
The phone has 2 megapixels rear camera and VG front camera. It has dual SIM, LTE, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and NFC. This time, the phone has full QWERTY keypad. It also packs 2000 mAh battery.
The phone comes with Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp applications out of the box.
It comes with Jio monsoon offer. Jio Phone 2 comes at an introductory price of Rs 2,999. The Jio Phone 2 will be avialable from 15 August. The best thing is that you can replace your older JioPhone for a new JioPhone 2 for Rs 501.
