Xiaomi has launched its new selfie focused smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Y2 in India. The phone will be available exclusively from Amazon.in and Mi.com as well as Mi Home Stores starting from June 12th.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9.5 out of the box and will soon get MIUI 10. The phone is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU.
It comes in 3GB RAM with 32 GB of storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage. Storage is also expandable up to 256GB with microSD card. The good thing is that you get dedicated microSD card slot along with two SIM cards.
It features a dual camera setup that includes 12 megapixels primary sensor with 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 5 megapixels secondary sensor. It also has 16 megapixels front camera with front LED flash.
Connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. It features both Fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. It also supports Face unlock. It packs 3080 mAh battery
Dimensions of the phone measure 160.73 × 77.26 × 8.1mm and it weighs 170g.
