OnePlus Announces Software Maintenance Schedule; Promises 2 Years of Updates, 3 Years of Security Patches

OnePlus has always been consistent with the Android updates even if ti takes bit time in pushing updates. Today the company has announced its software maintenance schedule for existing smartphones starting from OnePlus 3.

Devices that have been included in this plan will get two years of Android updates with new features and security patch updates bi-monthly. Android security updates will also be available for 3 years in every 2 months.

The good thing is that the company will be considering the release dates of T variants. So, OnePlus 3 will be treated same as OnePlus 3T and release date of OnePlus 3T will be considered. See the table below to have a better idea.

The last open beta build for OnePlus 3/3T will be available later this week and stable version starting beginning of July. Last major Android version update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T will be Android Oreo.

There is no doubt that OnePlus is making good phones with amazing hardware and the commitment for software makes it even better.
