India Mobile Congress 2018 Announces App Challenge ‘APPrize’

India Mobile Congress has announced IMC 1000 App challenge called ‘APPrize’. The initiate is to encourage next wave of the technology revolution for India.

This is a five months contest and IMC is inviting apps from developers. IMC has also confirmed the five (5) themes. Developers will have to develop the apps that solve problems of consumers in the given themes. The given themes are:

  • Empowerment / Access to Services
  • Enhancing the User Experience
  • FinTech / Artificial Intelligence
  • Smart Cities / Smart Enterprises
  • Networks of the Future

IMC will shortlist 1000 apps from the entries. Shortlisted apps will be launched from the IMC Stage on 25th October 2018. Prizes for shortlisted apps have not been announced yet.

It is worth to note that the challenge is facilitated by Startup India, Invest India, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and iValley.
