WhatsApp For iPhone Now Plays Facebook and Instagram Videos Within the App

WhatsApp

WhatsApp has finally added the support for Facebook and Instagram videos. If a contact shares a Facebook or Instagram videos in a WhatsApp conversation, you can watch it without leaving the WhatsApp app.

It is worth to note that the app already allows playing YouTube videos with the conversation. But it took much in adding the support for Facebook videos that users have been requesting for long. Videos also support picture-in-picture mode, so you can keep watching videos while navigating to other chats. YouTube in-app videos run only on iOS devices running iOS 10 or lower. The same can also be with Instagram or Facebook videos.

For now, this is only available for iOS app. Not just this, but ability to and revoke admin privileges in group chat has also been added. Admins can also choose what group member can change a group’s subject, icon and description by going to “Group Info”.

If you are using Android, you need to wait few more days to get this feature. The iPhone users can now update their app and see if this feature is working for them.
