Vivo X21 has been launched in India at an event today. The smartphone was already available for Pre-Booking in India on Flipkart for Rs 2,000 as a pre-booking amount. The smartphone is already in fame because of its in-display fingerprint scanner. This is the first phone in India to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Vivo X21 is available in India for Rs. 35,990, and it will go on sale from today itself. The smartphone is exclusively available on Flipkart.
The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android Oreo 8.1. It has an octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC processor with a 6GB RAM. The Vivo X21 has a thin-bezel 6.28-inch Super AMOLED FullHD+ touchscreen display with an iPhone X-like notch. It has a display resolution of 1080×2280 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It has 128GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
The Vivo X21 has a 12MP+5MP dual rear camera setup. The primary camera features an f/1.8 aperture and a 2PD (Dual Pixel technology) Samsung S5K2L8 sensor. Other features of the rear camera are Slow Motion video recording, AI HDR, Portrait and Bokeh, Live Photo, AR Stickers, and Shot Refocus features. It has 12MP front camera, with a f/2.0 aperture which offers features Live Photo, AI Face Beauty, AI HDR, Portrait and Bokeh modes (single camera), and AR Stickers.
Vivo X21 is a dual Sim smartphone with connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is powered by a 3200mAh battery. It sports sensors named accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and the in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has a traditional fingerprint sensor at the back.
The smartphone measures in at 154.45×74.78×7.37mm, and weighs 156.2 grams. It also features the AKM AK4376A Hi-Fi chipset, continuing the tradition of the Vivo X-Series. It is available in Black and Gold color options in India.
