LG G7 ThinQ with QHD+ display, Snapdragon 845 and AI features announced

After several leaks, finally LG G7 ThinQ has been officially announced at event in New York. The company has not confirmed the pricing or availability details.

LG G7 ThinQ has glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has polished aluminum frame and front panel is also protected with Gorilla Glass. It is also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. It also meets MIL-STD 810G requirements. It also got a dedicated Google Assistant button. Dimensions measure 153.2 x 71.9 x 7.9mm and it weighs 162g. It will be available in New Platinum Gray, New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue and Raspberry Red colors.

The phone comes with 6.1-inch 19.5:9 FullVision Super Bright IPS Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has notch at the top of the display. It has Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630. The phone comes with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB (UFS 3.1) storage. There is also a LG G7+ ThinQ with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB (UFS 3.1) storage. Storage is also expandable up to 2 TB.

The phone runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with LG UX out of the box. It has Fingerprint sensor located on the back panel. It also features 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC and Boombox Speaker.

The phone comes with dual camera setup. It has 16 megapixels primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide-angle lens. The secondary 16 megapixels sensor has f/1.9 aperture and 107-degree super-wide-angle lens. It also has Live Photo mode that one second before and after the shutter is pressed for snippets of unexpected moments or expressions.

Connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. It packs 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and Wireless charging. Wireless charging supports both WPC and PMA.
