Everything New That Google announced for Google Photos at Google I/O 2018

Google has announced few notable improvements on Google Photos at Google I/O 2018. Google Photos comes with free unlimited storage for your photos in high quality and support for both Android and iOS. The company has confirmed that over half a billion people view a combined five billion pictures in Google Photos every single day.

At its I/O conference, Google announced new features to make its photo management service even better.

Google has made it simple to make adjustments in photos. Now you have one-tap actions that appear beneath your photos and allow you brighten or rotate your photos. If you think that the photo is too dark, you can tap on button underneath the photo to fix the brightness. You can rotate or perform other editing by using one-tap fix buttons.

You can even re-color black and white images. It will use AI to recolour black-and-white photos. This tiki was inspired by Photoscan as Google found that many people were scanning old family photos that were captured black-and-white.

Google has also added the ability to make the subjects of your photos pop by selectively desaturating the background. Don’t forget to try this interesting feature.

Now it also uses AI to identify persons and objects in the photo. If it identifies a person, it offers to send them a link to the photos they’re in. You can even create Shared Libraries and other members will be notified about newly added photos.
