Xiaomi Increases Price of Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi LED TV 4 55″

Xiaomi has just announced the increase in price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi LED TV 4 55″ in India. This has been done to maintain the supply of its products that are seeing huge demand.

Xiaomi has confirmed that they are forced to import PCBAs a the local PCBA production is not enough to meet the demand. The recent changes in tax structure on PCBA import has affected the cost of the phone, so the significant raise in cost.

Here is the explanation the company posted on Twitter.

The company has increased the price of Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB + 64GB variant by Rs. 1000. So, now the phone will be available at Rs. 14999. The price of Mi LED TV 4 55″ has also been increased by Rs. 5000 and it will be now available for Rs. 44999.

Products will be available for new prices starting May 1.
