WhatsApp is rolling out ‘Dismiss as Admin’ for groups and ‘High Priority Notifications’ in Recent Android Beta

WhatsApp is ready to push few more exciting features to improve user experience. Now the company has started testing ‘High Priority Notification’ in recent beta for Android. It has also started rolling out ‘Dismiss as Admin’ option for Android and iOS both.

If a user enables ‘High Priority Notification’, incoming notifications can be pinned to the top of smartphone’s notification centre. It can be applied to a conversation or a group chat.

This feature is available in recent WhatsApp beta version 2.18.117 on Android.

‘Dismiss as Admin’ feature is for WhatsApp groups. It allows a group admin to demote other demote other admins. Before this, group admin needed to remove the admins from the group to. Once a person was made admin, there was no option to demote.

WhatsApp has added this features into WhatsApp for Android version 2.18.116 but later removed it in the latest version 2.18.117. It is still available iOS version 2.18.41 and Web version 2.18.116.
