Tambo Mobiles, a new Indian mobile phone brand, has today announced its official entry in Indian smartphone market. The company has launched 3 smartphones and 6 feature phones.
Tambo calls its smartphones ‘SuperPhones’. These phones are Tambo TA-2, TA-3 and TA-4. The feature phones are Tambo S2440, S2430, S2400, P1850, A1818 and A1800. These are priced between Rs. 600 and Rs. 7000. The company will sold these phones via retail outlets spread across India.
All three smartphones support Face Unlock Feature and come with 5 megapixels front camera and front flash. Only Tambo TA-2 lacks fingerprint sensor, but other two models come with a fingerprint sensor located on the back. The company has not given the specification sheet of the phones and not much details were available on official website.
Tambo has made a big bet on feature phones. It shows that the company aims tier-2 and tier-3 cities where people still buy feature phones. Other phones are also budget smartphones for the same segment. Tambo’s feature phone comes with 22 language support, 60 days battery stand by and dedicated music keys.
Tambo also offers 200 days replacement along with one-time screen replacement within 365 days of buying the phone. This is a major advantage for customers.
