Along with next gen Moto G smartphones, Motorola also announced next gen Moto E smartphones. These phones are Moto E5, E5 Play and E5 Plus.
Moto E5
Moto E5 come with 5.7-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 IPS display and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. It is powered by 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It has 2 GB RAM and 16GB of storage with option to expand up to 128GB.
It has 13 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size and PDAF. It also has 5 megapixels front camera with LED flash.
The phone features Fingerprint sensor, Front-ported speaker and Dual microphones. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, MicroUSB and GPS. It has 40000 mAh battery with support to fast charging.
Moto E5 Plus
Moto E5 Plus features 5.99-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 IPS display and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. It has 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes in 2 GB RAM with 16GB of storage and 3 GB RAM with 32 GB of storage models. Internal storage is also expandable up to 128GB.
The phone has 12 megapixels rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.25um pixel size, Laser Autofocus and PDAF. It also has 5 megapixels front camera with LED flash.
The phone has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB and GPS connectivity. It features fingerprint sensor and front ported speaker. It packs 5000 mAh battery with fast charging.
Moto E5 Play
Moto E5 Play is smaller with 5.2-inch HD IPS display. It is powered by 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor but chipset will be either Snapdragon 425 or 427 depending on region. It has 2 GB RAM and 16GB of storage with option to expand storage up to 128 GB.
It has 8 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and 1.12um pixels. It also has 5 megapixels front camera with LED flash.
The phone has fingerprint sensor, front ported speaker and dual mic. It offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB and GPS connectivity. It packs 2800 mAh battery.
All these Moto E smartphones have water-repellent coating similar to other Moto phones.
