Instagram is rolling out ‘Focus’ For Dedicated Portrait Mode Photos

Instagram is too active in pushing new features to keep the platform refreshing. Now the company has added a new feature ‘Focus’ for popular portrait mode photography.

Focus uses Instagram’s software processing to create a ‘bokeh’ effect and blurs background. The option has been alongside Superzoom and it available for both front and rear cameras.

Select the “Focus” mode and capture the photo. If you want to record a video, tap and hold to record. You can also add filters, stickers and text to your photo or video before sending on Instagram Direct or adding to story.

While the future is available for both iOS and Android, not all smartphones are getting feature. It is available on iPhone SE, 6S, 6S+, 7, 7+, 8, 8+ and X and selected Android devices. I just found it working fine on my OnePlus 5.

Not just this, Instagram has also rolled out @mention sticker on iOS that allows users to connect with friends in stories. For using this, open the stickers tray, tap the @mention sticker and start typing the name of the account you want to mention.
