Coolpad has launched Coolpad Cool 2, the successor of Coolpad Cool 1 in China. This phone is also expected to come in India in coming months.

Coolpad Cool 2 comes with lots of improvements over its predecessor. Key features including Face Unlock, 18:9 display and IPX4 water-resistant. From the back, it looks like Redmi Note 5 Pro. It measure 154.7 x 73.3 x 9mm.

Coolpad Cool 2 features a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440) display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Curved Glass. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with custom UI on top. The pone is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC with Mali-T860 GPU and 4 GB RAM.

It will be available with 64 GB of storage with option to expand storage via microSD card. It has fingerprint sensor and supports Face Unlock.

The phone has dual camera setup not he back with 13 megapixels primary sensor and 0.3-megapixel secondary sensor at the back. It also has 8 megapixels front camera.

Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFI, Micro-USB and GPS. It packs 3200 mAh battery.

If you compare specifications with the Cool 1’s specifications, the phone doesn’t look much impressive. While we get IPX4 rating, Face Unlock as new options, the phone is now less powerful in terms of performance, camera and battery.
