Apple announces new red iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

Apple just announced the Red models of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Apple will start taking pre-orders starting tomorrow and shipping will start from April 13.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition will be available in 64GB and 256GB storage options. There is no change in pricing. SO, iPhone 8 starts at $699 for a 64GB model 8 and $799 for an 8 Plus 64 GB.

Initially, it will be available in Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and US. It will be available in more countries including India in May.

Apple launches (Product) Red iPhone models under its longstanding 11-year partnership with (Red), which supports HIV/AIDS programs in Africa. Apple donate an unspecified portion of money it earns from the sales of Product (RED) models.

This year, Apple has made the black front panel that were white last year.

Apple has also introduced new (PRODUCT) RED iPhone X Leather Folio. It has been crafted from specially tanned and finished European leather to offer luxurious look and feel.

“This special edition (PRODUCT)RED iPhone features a stunning red and black color combination and also offers customers the opportunity to make an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Product Marketing.
