The Vivo launches its latest high-end smartphone, Vivo V9 in India today. The key feature of the smartphone is 19:9 Full HD+ display and Dual camera and AI beauty for selfies. The Vivo V9 will be available in three color options; Pearl Black, Champagne Gold, and Sapphire Blue. The Vivo V9 costs Rs. 22,990 and will be sold via offline and online stores. The pre-booking of the phone is starting from today. The phone will be available on sale from 2nd of April.
It is worth notice that the Vivo V9 has a notch on display just like the iPhone X. The company said that the notch helps the phone reach a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. This is why they adopted the notch design.
Vivo V9 comes with 6.3-inch (2280 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ IPS display and 19:9 aspect ratio. It measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm and weighs 150 grams. It runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) out of the box.
This brand new Vivo smartphone has 2.2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 626 Soc with Adreno 506 GPU. With this, the company claims for the better CPU performance. The Vivo V9 has 4GB RAM and 64 GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB. The phone has two dedicated Nano-SIM card slots and a dedicated MicroSD card slot. So, you can expand the storage and use two Dual SIM card slots.
It has a dual rear camera with 16-megapixel primary sensor (2.0 aperture) and 5-megapixel secondary sensor (2.4 aperture) with LED flash. Vivo knows about the selfie-love, so it doesn’t change the trend. This Vivo phone also has a 24-megapixel front camera with soft LED flash. The front camera has a f/2.0 aperture. It also boasts AI beauty to beautify your selfies and has Portrait Mode. The Shot refocus on Vivo V9 allows you to refocus the bokeh effect.
The phone has the Fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock features. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back of the device. The connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It has 3260mAh battery.
This time Vivo focuses more on ‘AI’ features on the phone. The “AI Face Access” in the phone improves the accuracy of the face unlock feature. The “AI Attention Scanning” helps in recognization of user’s face while he/she is looking at the display and turns down the volume of notifications. It also has AR stickers similar to iPhone X and Galaxy S9.
Vivo is also offering a transparent protective case and earphones with Vivo V9 smartphone in the package.
