Nokia 1 Android Oreo Go phone launched in India at Rs. 5499

Nokia has also launched its Android Oreo Go smartphone in India. The company calls it Nokia 1 and it is priced at Rs. 5499.

Nokia 1 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) Go Edition. Android Oreo Go aims to offer optimised performance. There are lots of apps optimised for Android Pro Go for low spec phones.

It is powered by 1.1GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737M with Adreno 304 GPU. The phone packs 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of storage. The storage is also expandable up to 128GB.

It has 5 megapixels fixed focus rear camera with LED flash. The front side has 2 megapixels camera. It offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS connectivity. It packs 2150 mAh battery.

The phone comes in Warm Red and Dark Blue colors. The dimensions measure 133.6 x 67.78 x 9.5 mm.

The phone will go on sale starting March 28. HMD Global will also sell Xpress On covers in packs of Azure and Grey or Yellow and Pink starting April.

The company also announced few launch offers. Here is the list of offers:

  • Cashback offer from Jio of Rs. 2200, making the effective price of Nokia 1 to come down to Rs. 3299.
  • 60GB additional data for jio users
  • 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify on opening the Kotak 811 savings account and activating it with an initial deposit of Rs 1,000 in the introductory period.
  • 20% off on booking first ride via redBus
