Yesterday, Huawei not just announced P20, P20 Pro, and Mate RS but it also announced a mid-range phone Huawei Y7 Prime 2018. This is the refreshed version of Huawei Y7 Prime launched last year.

The company has not yet revealed the pricing of this phone and I expect that the company will announce pricing locally at the time of availability. The phone comes in Gold, Silver and Grey color options.

Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 comes with 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. It packs 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and Adreno 505 GPU.

The phone has 3GB RAM and 32 GB of storage with the option to expand storage. The phone runs on EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

It has dual camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. There is anĀ 8-megapixel front camera for selfie. The front camera also supports facial recognition.

It features 4G VoLTE, WiFI, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity options. The phone packs 3,000 mAh battery. Dimensions are 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8 mm, and it weighs 155g. The phone has fingerprint scanner is on the back.
