HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ with 18:9 Displays Announced

HTC just announced two new smartphones Desire 12 and Desire 12+ in its Desire series of smartphones. These phones will go on sale in Europe starting from April. Both phones are also HTC’s cheapest phones to feature 18:9 aspect ratio displays.

HTC Desire 12 comes with 5.5-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved Glass. It is powered by 1.5GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6739 64-bit processor with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. It comes in 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage models. Internal storage of the phone is expandable up to 2 TB.

The phone has 13 megapixels rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and BSI sensor. It has 5 megapixels front camera with f/2.4 aperture. The phone runs on HTC Sense UI based on Android 7.0.

The phon comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS connectivity options. It packs 2730 mAh battery.

HTC Desire 12+ is larger in size and comes with better specifications. HTC Desire 12+ comes with 6-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. It has 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 3GB RAM and 32 GB of storage with option to expand storage up to 2TB.

HTC Desire 12+

The phone runs on HTC Sense UI based on Android 8.0 (Oreo). The phone features a dual camera setup with 13 megapixels primary sensor having f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, BSI sensor and 2 megapixels secondary sensor.

The phone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS. It packs 2965 mAh battery.

HTC Desire 12 is priced at 200 Euros and HTC Desire 12 Pro is priced at 25 Euros.
