Google bought Google Assistant for iPhone last year. Now the company has rolled out it for iPads as well. Starting today, iPad users will be able to use Google’s personal digital assistant.
Assistant for iPad will work same as in iPhone. It will work in both portrait and landscape modes.
Google Assistant for iOS is not the same as in Android due to API restrictions. But it manages to get lots of things done. On iPad, it can dim lights, set reminders, cast to TV, make video calls, send text messages, and more.
It also takes advantage of multitasking on iPad with iOS 11. So, you can also use Assistant while playing a game or watching videos. It also supports multitasking with a split screen.
it is worth to note that pressing home button doesn’t revoke Assistant on iPad as it does on Android phones.
Google has started rolling out Assistant for iPad and it will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish languages.
