Xiaomi has launched the rose gold variant of its budget phone Redmi 5A. The phone is now available in India starting today. The phone was launched in India back in November last year, but only Dark Grey and Champagne Gold colors were made available.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A is a budget phone but offers decent specifications. It comes with 5-inch HD IPS display and runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with MIUI 9. The phone packs 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor and Adreno 308 GPU.

It comes in two different RAM/Storage models: 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. The storage is also expandable up to 128GB with microSD.

It has 13 megapixels rear camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture. It also has 5 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

It lacks fingerprint sensor but comes with Infrared sensor. SO, you can use this phone as remote control for different home appliances. Other connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS + GLONASS. It packs 3000mAh battery.

It is available exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com online starting at Rs. 4999. The 3GB RAM variant is also available at Mi Home and other offline retail partners.
