Huawei MateBook X Pro with 13.9-inch Touchscreen Display, 8th Gen Intel Processors Announced
Huawei just announced its new Huawei MateBook X Pro laptop at MWC 2018. This laptop is beautiful and packs notable features.
It comes with 13.9-inches 3K LTPS 10-point touchscreen display and got tiny bezels. The screen-to-body ratio is 91%. With tiny bezels, the company managed to offer 13.9-inch display in a size of traditional 12 inch laptop. It is powered by 8th gen Intel Core processors.
The laptop has metal body design and it weighs just 1.33kg. It comes in Mystic Silver and Space Grey colors.
It will be available in two different configurations. The first one will come with Intel Core i5 8250U processor, Intel Integrated Graphics, 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB NVMe SSD storage. The second model will come with Intel Core i7 8550U processor, 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics, 16GB LPDDR3 RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD storage.
The power button also has fingerprint scanner to securely log into Windows. It has four speakers where two are treble speakers located at the back and two are bass speakers located at the front. Speakers support Dolby’s Atmos sound system.
Most notable thing in this laptop is the location of webcam. Web cam is hidden under a key in the centre of the top function row. With hidden laptop, it assures that nothing is recording you secretly.
Both models will come with Windows 10. The company has added 57.4Wh battery and claims up to 12 hours of video playback.
The Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage model is priced at 1899 Euros. The Intel i7, 8GB RAM, 512GB storage model is priced at 1699 Euros and the i5 variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs 1499 Euros. It will be available from Q2, 2018.
Huawei also announced few accessories including Huawei MateDock 2, Bluetooth Mouse, Leather Case, Backpack, USB 3.0 A/M TO RJ45 Cable, and AG (Anti-Glare) Film.
