HMD Global has announced its first smartphone with Android Oreo (Go Edition) at MWC 2018. This phone is Nokia 1 and will be available from April.
Nokia 1 comes with 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display. It runs on the lightweight Android 8.1 Oreo Go. It comes with Gmail Go that allows offline email reading. It also has Gboard Go that lacks GIF search, stickers and one-handed mode to keep RAM usage low.
It has 1.1GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737M with Adreno 304 GPU. It packs 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage with option to expand storage up to 128GB. The phone has 5 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 2 megapixels front camera.
The connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It packs 2150mAh battery.
The phone is priced at $85 and comes in Warm Red and Dark Blue colors. There is also a Xpress-on covers. It will be sold separately and will be available for $7.99 in Azure, Grey, Yellow, and Pink color options.
