Not just Zenfone 5 series smartphones, Asus also announced a new phone in its battery focused Max series. The new entry is ASUS Zenfone Max (M1).

ASUS Zenfone Max (M1) packs a large 4000 mA battery that promises 41 hours on standby, up to 23 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi, or up to 16 hours of video playback. It can also charge other devices.

The phone features a 5.7-inch (1440 ×720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display. It will be available in two processor models. One packs Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with Adreno 505 and second one packs Snapdragon 425 with Adreno 308 GPU. Both models come with 2GB RAM with 16 GB storage and 3 GB RAM with 32GB storage variants.

The phone has two nano SIM slots and 1 dedicated microSD card slot. The storage is expandable up to 256GB. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0.

It has dual camera setup with 16 megapixels primary sensor having f/2.0 aperture and 8 megapixels secondary sensor having 120 degree wide angle camera. It has 8 megapixels or 16 megapixels front camera depending on the regions. It also claims to offer Face Unlock feature.

The phone offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity.  It will be available in will be available in Deepsea Black, Sunlight Gold, and Ruby Red colour variants.
