ASUS has today announced its top-end smartphone in Zenfone 5 series of smartphones at MWC 2018. This new smartphone got iPhone X style top notch and high-end specifications.
ASUS Zenfone 5Z comes with 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 Super IPS display offering 90% screen-to-body ratio. It has AI Display for auto color temperate adjustment. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass protection and Glove Touch support. It claims 500 nits Brightness and 95.4% NTSC color gamut. The phone runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with ZenUI 5.0 and it will also get update of Android P next year.
The phone resembles iPhone X as it copies both top notch and vertical rear camera setup. The pone has the same glass panel design that we usually see in Zenfone series smartphones.
The phone is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Soc with Adreno 630 GPU. The phone comes in three RAM storage variants: 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB storage. All these variants got expandable storage of up to 2 TB.
Zenfone 5Z comes with dual rear camera setup where it got 8 megapixels primary sensor with Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, 0.03s Tri Tech auto-focus/Dual Pixel PDAF/ 4-axis OIS/EIS, Pro mode, RAW support and 8 megapixels secondary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, OV8856 sensor, 120-degree wide-angle lens. The front side has 8 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture, OV8856 sensor, 83-degree wide-angle lens.
The phone has Dual speakers with NXP 9874 Smart AMP and Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24b-bit. There is also DTS Headphone: X for 7.1 channel surround sound. It comes bundled with Hi-Res Audio earphone.
The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear panel. It has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C (2.0) connectivity. It packs 3300 mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging and AI charging.
The phone comes in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver colors. Price starts at 479 Euros and the phone will be available in June this year.
